The Festival Guide 2010

Opportunity
The Festival Guide 2010, a 390 page publication was produced within a small design team which I managed, alongside the Editor-in-Chief for editorial content, and the sales team for incoming client advertisement and advertorial artwork. This project was completed in under three months following the run-up to the popular summer months of festivals being hosted.
 
Approach
Appealing to the everyday 18 – 25 year old festival-goer with similar textual content & information as the previous edition. Applying a more streamlined & restrained aesthetic towards the look and feel to the guide compared to the previous edition. An in-house style guide was established to encourage consistency through design amongst my team of designers.
 
Still remaining distinctive and aesthetically pleasing for the mass young audience, this edition featured more white space for better legibility, with more controlled usage of imagery, colour, typography and layout treatments.
 
Experience
The Festival Guide 2010 was distributed at numerous UK festivals and retailed in selected high-street outlets throughout the UK.
